Nayajeevan project was developed to address the problems particularly in entertainment sector in first phase through rescue, rehabilitation, advocacy and necessary coordination with relevant institutions. It encourages and helps the Female Sex Workers (FSWs) or girls at-risk to change their profession or be aware about the causes and consequences of it. It helps them to be aware on potential threats of HIV, STI and other diseases. These programs build understanding and support for health services and encourage FSW to change behavior through improved awareness, and accessible health care services. Such activities are an interactive process with communities to develop tailored messages and approaches using a variety of communication channels to develop positive behaviors and maintain appropriate behaviors with alternative life after sex work.
